About Friends of Kijabe
Friends of Kijabe is the U.S. based 501 (c) (3) charity partner of AIC Kijabe Hospital, created to help individuals and foundations around the world support Kijabe Hospital’s mission to provide compassionate healthcare, excellent training, and spiritual ministry to God’s glory.
The Friends of Kijabe leadership board includes the AIC Kijabe Hospital CEO, Finance Director, Medical Director, and volunteers with over 80 years of combined experience in Kenyan projects.
Friends of Kijabe donors are across the globe, many of whom visited, volunteered at, or even grew up in Kijabe!

Please pray for AIC Kijabe Hospital to carry on the healing ministry of Jesus, caring for physical and spiritual needs in Kenya. Pray for our leaders to make wise decisions. Pray for clinicians as they carry heavy workloads and the moral burden that comes from working in a resource-limited setting. Pray for financial needs to be provided. Pray for patients to encounter God’s love through the care they receive. Pray for our students to grow in love of medicine and love of Christ!

If you are a physician interested in short-term volunteer mission service please contact Samaritan’s Purse World Medical Mission for placement opportunities. Long-term missionary sending agencies for Kijabe Hospital are Serge, SIM, AIM, and CHSC.
Visiting academic rotations are available through affiliated universities including Vanderbilt, Temple, Indiana, Pitt, University of Washington, UAB, and Wake Forest University for select programs with faculty oversight at Kijabe.
