In between watching the Olympics and the Super Bowl, I hope you can take a minute the recent bulletin of the Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons featuring two Kijabe mentor relationships: Dr. Peter Nthumba with legendary Plastic Surgeon Dr. Louis Carter and Pediatric Surgeon Dr. Britney Grayson with Resident Dr. Mehret Enaro.

We often think of leadership as sharing of wisdom and skill, but sometimes it is simply showing up to demonstrate what is possible.  As Dr. Enaro said to Dr. Grayson when she started work at Kijabe, “I’ve been waiting a long time for this!  I have never met a female pediatric surgeon before you.”
