The beautiful Kijabe Hospital Chapel is now open.
What an amazing place for our staff and patients to worship, recharge, and remember that God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in times of trouble.
The stunning entry door was inspired by the photo below of the original Kijabe church that was used from the 1920’s to 1960’s.
Dr. Pete Halestrap reminds that location of the chapel, at the physical center of Kijabe Hospital, is a reminder that Jesus Christ is the spiritual center of the healing work at Kijabe.
Pastor Geoffrey Ndivo says, “as we continue to thank God for the new Chapel, we remember that buildings are tools. We pray that the Lord will show us ways and give us the means and resources in which we can make it a place for showing his glory.”
The Chapel will be available at all times for patients, relatives and to the AIC Kijabe Hospital family. It will be open between 7 am and 6:30 pm daily. The security team will help individual groups wishing to access it any other time. The prayer room will be available 24/7.
Thanks to the many Friends of Kijabe, the Lutheran Church Vestavia Hills, and Samaritan’s Purse for generous donations to create this beautiful space!
